Diablo Valley College brings the arts to the community through drama, dance and music. Each year, DVC drama students perform in a number of stage productions, including at least one musical. The student-oriented Actors Workshop also presents several short plays each year and the Children's Theater tours local elementary schools. The physical education, athletics and dance department sponsors ballet, tap, modern dance and jazz dance performances at the end of each term. Music students present a series of evening concerts and brown bag lunch concerts. The music department's numerous performing groups include Masterworks Chorale, A Capella Choir, Chamber Singers, Orchestra, Young Artist Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, and the Night Jazz Band. |
