Commuting to Campus
Carpooling
Carpooling to school is now a healthier ride with miles of new High
Occupancy Vehicle lanes on 680 between Hwy4 in Martinez and Alcosta
Boulevard in San Ramon. DVC has a computerized system to help match your
commuting needs with others.
BART
Buses from DVC to BART, services the BART stations in Concord, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek,
Lafayette, Orinda, and other cities throughout the Bay Area. Money-saving BART
tickets can also be purchased near campus.

Buses
DVC is served by frequent County Connection buses to Concord BART and local
communities. Buses numbered 102, 108 (limited service), 109, 111 and 118 all
serve DVC. The fare is currently $1.75. You can buy a monthly pass for $53 or a
12-ride pass for $17. Passes and schedules are available in the
Student Life Office. The library also has schedules.

Bicycle
Secure bike racks and bike lockers at various locations are located on campus. A
network of trails throughout Contra Costa County offer a peaceful quiet ride.
Trail maps can be obtained from the
East Bay Regional Park
District, (510) 635-0135. Bikes can be transported by train or bus as well
(see the above numbers for more information).
Bike Lockers: may be leased by
students, faculty and staff. Leasing applications available on term-length
basis only and can be obtained in the
