LOCATION: Student Service Center HOURS: Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Drop-In Test Times: Monday - Friday ~ 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm January 2008 hours: January 3, 4 and 11: Open 8 am - 5 pm — tests at 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm January 7 - 10 and 14 - 15: Open 8 am - 7 pm — tests at 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm January 16: Return to regular schedule

CELSA ASSESSMENT

This assessment is for students with whom English is not their first language. The test consists of 75 multiple choice questions. You are allowed 45 minutes to complete the exam. The results will determine the appropriate course placement in ESL classes. The test will recommend the following courses:

ESL 98A: Introduction to College Writing                         

ESL 96A: Introduction to College Reading & Study Skills

ESL 88: High Intermediate Writing Skills

ESL 86: High Intermediate Reading & Comp

ESL 78: Intermediate Writing Skills

ESL 76: Intermediate Reading & Comprehension Skills

ESL 67: Introduction to College English Skills

Ø   THE CELSA ASSESSMENT MAY BE TAKEN ONLY ONE TIME EACH SEMESTER.

Ø   RESULTS MAY BE AVAILABLE THE SAME DAY THAT YOU COMPLETE THE EXAM.
