Credit/No Credit Grade Option
To
choose the Credit/No Credit grade option, the student must come to the
Admissions and Records Office and complete a Credit/No Credit Contract.
By filling out this contract the student agrees to request one option for a
grade which means CR - Credit or NC - No Credit. A CR
grade is equivalent to a letter grade of A, B, or C. A NC
grade is equivalent to a D or F. This option is offered to students
in a STUDENT CHOICE (SC) class only (please read your class schedule
to determine if your class has the SC option). Once the
deadline has passed to elect the credit/no-credit grading option the course
cannot be reverted back to a letter grade.Auditing is not allowed for any class.
If you are planning to transfer, please consult with your counselor before you chose a CR/NC Grade Option.
Deadlines to request CR/NC for full term classes during Fall and Spring Semester are posted in the DVC Schedule of Classes and in the Admissions and Records lobby. Consult with your instructor or Admissions and Records for deadline dates of Summer and short term courses.
