Telephone Registration

Picture of two student registering on the telephoneTO ADD/DROP Classes using the Telephone Registration Computer System, (925) 370-9000 or (866) 455-8734.  To verify your telephone registration was completed, log into www.dvc.edu, and access Web Advisor to view your schedule, or call the telephone registration system again and press 3 to confirm that courses were added and/or dropped. Please plan your schedule carefully. You will be blocked from making any schedule changes (adding or dropping classes) once you have an outstanding debt.  Pay your fees during your telephone registration or web registration transaction using a credit card or immediately at the Cashiers Office to avoid being blocked.

Go to Priority Registration

  1. Your DVC Admissions Application must be on file to enroll in courses.
  2. On or after your registration appointment time call (925) 370-9000 or (866) 455-8734 or register online via WebAdvisor.
  3. Before you call, complete the worksheet in the class schedule, or on the web registration page making sure that you have the full information about the class that you want to ADD or DROP. (ex. MATH 120-0455  T,TH  10 -11:30   MA Bldg 105  SMITH, J.)
  4. Press 6 at the end of each transaction in which you have added or dropped courses.  Hanging up before your call is completed will not erase your transaction.

Payment - by check
Registration fees are required at the time of registration. You may pay your fees at the Cashier's Office.  You will be blocked from making any changes to your schedule until your fees have been paid.

NOTE:  It is your responsibility to drop the classes before the refund deadline date. Failure to do so will result in a student debt and a possible failing grade.  All students will be blocked from making any registration changes until all fees have been paid.

Payment - by credit card
After the credit card number has been accepted by the system, the voice prompt will guide you through the remainder of the telephone registration process.

TO ADD/DROP USING TELEPHONE REGISTRATION:

Step 1. Call (925) 370-9000 or (866) 455-8734.

Step 2. Press 1 to  register for courses

Step 3. Input your Student ID Number OR Press 2 to register using your Social Security Number.  If you are a new student you may register using your Social Security Number.  You will receive your student ID # on your first registration receipt.

Step 4. Input your Month and Day and Year of Birth (ex. February 15th = 021570)

Step 5. Select  the academic term (listen for which button to press).

Step 6. Add or drop classes using the following guidelines:

To Add a Class:

Press 1 to add a class.  Enter the section/class number  you wish to enroll in.  The voice response will confirm if your are enrolled in the class
(remember to press 6 at the end of every phone session).

NOTE:  You must properly withdraw from a class before the refund deadline to avoid owing the registration fees.  Non-attendance is not a proper method of withdrawal.   It is your responsibility to drop classes you no longer want.

To Drop a Class:

Press 2 to drop a course.  Enter the section number of the course you wish to drop (remember to press 6 at the end of every phone session).

NOTE:  You must properly withdraw from a class before the refund deadline to avoid owing the registration fees.  Non-attendance is not a proper method of withdrawal.   It is your responsibility to drop classes you no longer want.

After you add or drop your last class, follow the instructions given by the voice response.  The additional options are also available:

Press 3 to review your course schedule (remember to press 6 at the end of every phone session).

Press 4 to delete your course schedule-drop all classes (remember to press 6 at the end of every phone session).

Press 5 to cancel all changes made during this phone call (remember to press 6 at the end of every phone session).

Press 6 at the end of every phone session to save the changes that you have made to your program.

To pay for your classes or financial obligation:

You have three options; Check, MasterCard, or Visa. Please have your MasterCard or Visa information in front of you. The computer will ask for the type of credit card, the number, and expiration date.

If you pay by MasterCard or Visa, remember to press the # sign after the last number of your credit card.

Credit Card Number: (ex. 1234567890123456#)
Expiration Date: (ex. June 1999 = 0699)

** Fees must be received by the deadline date to avoid canceling your course selection.

Payment by Check:
On your check write your student number or social security number , driver's license number, and the semester that you are paying for.  Make the check payable to "DVC".  Mail the check to Diablo Valley College, Cashier's Office, 321 Golf Club Road, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
  Send your payment immediately.  You will be blocked from making any registration changes (adding or dropping) until your fees have been paid.

Other methods to Drop a Class.

TO DROP A CLASS:

  1. You must drop a class on or before the deadline date.  See the DVC Calendar for more details on full term length classes.  For short term classes contact your instructor for drop deadlines.
  2. You may drop a class on or before the deadline date by calling the Telephone Registration Computer System between the hours of 3:00 am to Midnight pm Saturday - Thursday and  3:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday  (see below).
  3. You may drop a course on WebAdvisor.
