C.O.A. State Team Scholar Award Winners
Honors Team Scholar Award For the fourth time in the past five years (2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006), the DVC's Women's Swim Team has won the prestigious Team Scholar Award, which is awarded to one school per sport in the state each year. They will be honored at the upcoming C.O.A. Convention in Ontario, California. The award combines athletic success with a minimum team Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0. This feat of being a four-time winner has never been done before in the history of California Community Colleges! CONGRATS TO HEAD COACH RICK MILLINGTON AND ALL OUR FEMALE STUDENT-ATHLETES ON THIS ACCOMPLISHMENT! _____________________________________________________ DVC Finishes 13th in NATYCAA Cup The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA), in association with the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) released the final standing of the 2006-07 Pepsi/NATYCAA Cup, State Associations Division. The Diablo Valley College Women's Swim Team won the State Championships. |
