2007 Review
The 2007-2008 Vikings look to blend their efforts to achieve some lofty goals. The Vikings will attempt to win their 5th consecutive Conference championship and their 3rd consecutive Big 8 title. Brandon Adams is a returning All-Conference player who played a valuable role in last year's 27-6 record. Brandon Slabach and Dwight Wilson are the only two returning players, as nine new faces are on this year's roster.
The Vikings will host three pre-season tournaments and will travel to four away pre-season tournaments. This year, Modesto joins the Big 7, hence the renaming of the conference to the Big 8. In Coach Coccimiglio's first season at DVC, the Vikings competed in the powerful Golden Gate Conference; the Big 8 is becoming as strong as any conference in the state of California.
