colleges and universities.
Preparation:
Nearly all the employers of teachers at four-year colleges and universities
require at least completion of all the educational requirements for a doctoral
degree except the dissertation. Others require completion of the dissertation.
For Community College Teachers in academic disciplines, the master's degree is
usually required. Teachers of vocational subjects in community colleges must
have working experience and demonstrate proficiency in the field. Several
community colleges offer two-year associate degrees in vocational teacher
education. You can also get experience in the military.
