Computer networking – Cisco level I, network associate

The computer networking: Cisco Level I, Network Associate program is designed as an introduction to the installation, configuration, and design of networks. The program focuses on Cisco products, but also includes support courses that are not vendor specific and better prepare the student to work in the field. Completion of the program prepares students to take and pass the Cisco certification exams. You will need to complete a separate testing process administered by Cisco that generally requires payment of fees to This curriculum provides preparation for a career in computer network administration. These jobs go by a variety of titles such as: network administrator, network engineer, systems administrator, database administrator and LAN specialist. This program would be an excellent choice for a student interested in a career with any of those job titles.

This concentration is equivalent to Cisco Level I; the Cisco Level II program can be completed with additional coursework. To earn a certificate of achievement, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C ” grade or better and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better in the coursework required for the certificate.

Computer networking – Cisco level II, network professional

The computer networking: Cisco Level II, Network Professional program is designed to fully prepare students to install, configure, and design networks. The program focuses on Cisco products, but also includes support courses that are not vendor specific and better prepare the student to work in the field. Completion of the program begins to prepare students to take and pass the Cisco certification exams for the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA). Computer networking – Microsoft Windows core specialist

This program prepares students for administering all or a portion of a Microsoft Windows network. Students build a solid foundation in con figuring,managing and troubleshooting Windows desktops and servers. Students will be prepared to enter a large organization as an entry-level member of an administration team or a small firm as the administrator of a Windows network.

To earn a Microsoft Windows core specialist certificate, a student must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C” grade or better and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better in the coursework required for the certificate. Students may also earn an associate in science degree. See the A.S. degree requirements listed in the “DVC associate degrees” section of this catalog.

Computer networking – Microsoft Windows design specialist

This certificate of completion prepares students for careers in the information technology field with an emphasis in network design. This certificate will improve employment opportunities, regardless of experience in the industry. If a student has three to five years’ industry experience and earns this certificate, he/she could expect to be able to get a career promotion or be hired to assist in designing a Window’s network structure or become a member of a respective team implementing Windows architecture. This certificate covers one core, one required design, and two elective courses taught to help prepare a student to take industry tests to obtain Microsoft industry certification. To earn a Microsoft Windows design specialist certificate, a student must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C” grade or better and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better in the coursework required for the certificate. Classes are taught in the morning, evening, and weekends. Students may also earn an associate in science degree. Computer networking – Microsoft Windows SQL database administration

The Microsoft Windows SQL database administration program is designed to fully prepare students to install, configure, and administer Microsoft database related products.

The program focuses on Microsoft, but also includes support courses that are not vendor specific and better prepare the student to work in the field.Completion of the program helps to prepare students to take and pass the Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) industry certification. You will need to complete a separate testing process administered by Microsoft that generally requires payment of fees to receive this certification.

This curriculum provides preparation for a career in computer database administration. These jobs go by a variety of titles such as: database administrator, database analyst, data dictionary specialist and database programmer. This degree or certificate would be a choice for a student interested in a career with any of those job titles.

Database administration is usually not considered an entry-level position. Most database administrators (DBAs) enter the field after several years experience as a computer programmer or network administrator, so this specialty is suitable for those individuals who have a prior base of knowledge gained through coursework, self-study, or work experience. To earn a certificate of achievement, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C” grade or better and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better in the coursework required for the certificate. Computer networking – Microsoft Windows SQL database specialist

This certificate prepares students for careers in the Information Technology field with an emphasis in creating, implementing, and managing SQL databases. This certificate will improve employment opportunities, regardless of experience in the industry. The Microsoft Windows SQL database specialist certificate and three to five years’ industry experience or other industry certifications will help a student to obtain a position in database administration. Examples would be positions as a SQL database administrator (DBA) or SQL database programmer. This certificate covers the one core course and three electives for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or three required courses and one elective for the

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)industry certification. To earn a Microsoft Windows SQL database specialist certificate, a student must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C” grade or better and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better in the coursework required for the certificate. Computer networking – network technical assistant

This certificate will be issued for completion of the CISCO computer networking field and basic through advanced router configuration and setup. The sequence of CISCO courses helps students prepare for the CISCO CCNA (CISCO Certified Network Associate) certification examination. To earn a certificate of completion, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a 80 Computer studies “C ” grade or better and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better in the coursework required for the certificate.
