Now you know all your math facts…what's next? Can you tell just by looking at a number if it is divisible by 3? Or 4? Or 6? What’s the easiest way to break a number down into its prime components? And what is absolute value anyway? This class will answer these questions as well as explore ways to sharpen your pre-algebra math skills.
Class is designed to reinforce basic pre-algebra skills, introduction to formulas and basic algebraic strategies. Students in Algebra class may be changed based on ability. Parents will be notified.
This class is designed for students who have had exposure to pre-algebra and want to further their understanding of algebraic strategies and reasoning. Not recommended for students who have completed one year of algebra.
This fun and challenging course will expose students to basic and more complex geometric concepts. Using manipulatives and hands-on activities, students will classify and construct angles, polygons and solids. Other topics covered include area and perimeter of triangles, quadrilaterals and circles, and surface area and volume of prisms. This class is designed to maximize learning for all students regardless of their prior experience with geometry.
Enrich your math skills with a program designed around your personal needs. Students will receive practice and overall enrichment in basic skills and problem-solving strategies. The lab setting will provide each student with individual instruction as needed.
