Explore the physical world and see science in relation to life and our environment. Class includes activities, experiments and games to challenge the mind.

Similar to Science Around You but geared for the older students. Class includes additional activities and experiments.

Electronics

Develop a general overview of the role of electronics, the basic concepts of electricity and lab techniques through the assembly of projects. Class will concentrate on lab safety, parts recognition, soldering, and the use of basic meters.

Class location: Engineering Technology Building, Room 105

Gliders and Rockets

Learn the basic principles of light through the construction of gliders and rockets. Students will construct and fly working models of rockets, gliders and more.

Class location: Engineering Technology Building, Room 120B
Material Fee: $7.00 (Separate Check)

Robotics

Build and program SumoBot Robots, designed to wrestle in mini-sumo competitions. This class guides students through a variety of electronics, programming and physics activities as they build their SumoBot Robots. robots will be broken down and reused by future classes and not taken home.
