DVC’s Phi Beta Lambda club attended the state-wide annual State Fall Leadership Conference in November, and was awarded the plaque as the top fundraiser chapter in the nation for 2010-2011. The chapter raised $2,720 in its March of Dimes March for Babies last April.

 

The chapter also placed second in the case study competition, beating out many four-year college chapters including those from UC San Diego, USC, East LA College, and UC Riverside. DVC has the largest Phi Beta Lambda chapter in the state. Claudia Eckelmann, co-adviser with Carolyn Seefer and Charlie Shi, attended the conference with the PBL group from DVC.
