The 2009 season has been progressing nicely for both the Men and Women. Leading the Lady-Vikings is Chelsea Thommes (Acalanes) who has been the #1 runner the entire season. To date, she has placed extremely well in her races with excellent marks. he most recent efforts were 5th and 6th place finishes at the Viking Invitational and the Pat Ryan Invitational in Santa Rosa respectively. At the Pat Ryan Invitational she dropped her time 1:07 to post a season best 20:20 of the 5K Spring Lake course.  Jennifer Gray (Freedom)) and Tala Beigi (Acalanes) have also been running well with seasonal best times of 22:38 and 24:03.

The Men's squad has also enjoyed some succcess recently with a close 22-27 2nd place finish to rival ARC at the Vike's home meet (Viking Invitational) and then came away with a win at the Pat Ryan Invitational as Wyatt Landrum (Liberty) continues to lead the team as their #1 runner. His time of 20:23 over the 4-mile Spring Lake course is his fastest time this season for that distance. He also won the Viking Invitational and was 2nd at the Lou Vasquez Invitational In Golden Gate Park in September. The team is comprised of Rajpaul Pannu (Hercules) who has been running close on the heels of Landrum followed by Jason Budge (Campolindo) and Devin Carter (Liberty), along with James Quinn (Benicia) and Marco Vallejo (College Park), Team Captain Tony Palermini rounds out the top 7. All the guys have been running excellent times this season and their meet at the Pat Ryan Invitational saw all of them drop their times by over 40 seconds per runner.

The Big 8 Conference Finals are Oct 30  on the same Spring Lake Course vs conference foe ARC.
