Message to Local Business Owners
Dear Local Business Owner,
Diablo Valley College is facing a severe crisis. DVC is a premier transfer institution. We offer 17 intercollegiate teams and have 375 student-athletes participating each year. In 2006, we finished 18th in the State in the Pepsi National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup. The Cup recognizes overall athletic excellence.
The budget crisis is affecting our "non-essential" offerings. The Athletics Department eliminated uniform replacement, meal money and overnight travel for coaches and athletes. In order to raise funds, we are requesting that your company sponsor our teams through a program advertisement calendar; stadium advertisement and/or direct donation to a specific sport. Please help us preserve our athletic programs which has had a storied history since 1951.
