DVC Summer camps offer high schools college credit and an opportunity to explore a variety of career options.

Business Summer Institute

This event will be hosted by the DVC Business Department and will provide a robust learning opportunity for high school juniors, seniors and DVC students. Professional speakers will present on management, accounting, marketing, logistics, time management, personal finance, e-commerce, cloud computing, project management, real estate, sales, entrepreneurship and more. Engineering Camp

Engineering Camp offers summer enrichment opportunities for high school students and teachers to explore theory and practice in a week-long activity that blends hands-on exploration, problem-solving, industry field visits, and expert industry viewpoints. High school students will earn 1 unit of college credit for five days of participation. The camp is designed for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year for the fall term, but anyone may participate. Learn more about Engineering Camp.

Engineering and Manufacturing Camp

At Engineering and Manufacturing Camp, students will learn what new technologies and manufacturing processes are driving today's advanced products, work hands-on with professional CAD software, learn how to set up a CNC lathe, learn shop safety, learn how to read blueprints, learn to use tools like calipers, micrometers and dial-indicators, and take field trips. Environmental Science Camp

The camp offers summer enrichment opportunities for high school students and teachers to explore theory and practice in a week-long activity that blends hands-on exploration, problem-solving, industry field visits, and expert industry viewpoints. Health Careers Summer Institute

This six-week program introduces students to healthcare and healthcare careers through lecture, laboratory, and fieldwork experiences. These activities allow students to explore their healthcare specialty of interest while offering them a foundational understanding of healthcare systems, processes, culture, ethics, and integrated professions. HCSI students have the rare opportunity to visit local healthcare facilities and encounter patient-centered experiences firsthand. Hospitality Camp

The Hospitality and Culinary Industry Summer Camp offers an exciting overview of current and emerging career opportunities in the hospitality and culinary industry. Practice and hands-on application of culinary techniques, skills and knowledge are combined with mini-internships at local hotel properties such as the Crowne Plaza, Hilton Concord or related businesses such as Whole Foods. Technical Arts Camp
