Desire2Learn

Information and Resources

Desire2Learn is the learning management system for all three colleges. Accounts and classes are created automatically each semester and made available to instructors approximately 7 weeks before the start of a semester. Once an instructor is listed as the official instructor of record, the instructor will be associated with section, making it available within the D2L class list.

D2L level 1 workshop description:

This is a hands-on workshop where you will learn how to set up cell phone/email notifications in your profile (something students can do too), create news items (announcements), understand how to affect the Homepage, upload/organize your files/links in the Course Builder, learn about the Dropbox and grading (not the Gradebook) options for Dropbox-submitted assignments. Leaving the workshop, you'll have a better sense of D2L and have worked with the most often-used tools. You will need a D2L account if you want to work on your own class content (or can use a general account).

D2L level 2 workshop description:

Leaving the workshop, you'll have a better sense of these tools. You will need a D2L account, and have two options: a development course shell or a live course shell.

D2L level 3 workshop description

This is a hands-on workshops where you will learn about the Quiz tool, its connection to the Grades tool, and how to import questions from a book publisher, and create randomized quizzes.
