CCCCD Teaching Academy 2016-2017

The Academic Senate Council (ASC), in collaboration with the district-wide professional development committee, is offering faculty an opportunity to share their expertise, learn from one another, and earn .5 upper division units for salary advancement by completing a 20-hour, 4-week course during the 2016-2017 academic year. In-lieu of the .5 units for salary advancement, one can also receive 20 hours of flex credit.

During the Academic Senate Council May 2016 meeting, the Faculty Senate Presidents selected the following courses:

  • Moving Lesson Plans Online – Intro to Teaching a Hybrid or Online Course | Neal Skapura
  • STEM-ovation Professional Development Course | Ellen Beaulieu, Tish Young, Despina Prapavessi, & mystery guests!
  • New Research in Online Pedagogy | Anne Kingsley
