CCCCD Teaching Academy 2017-2018

The Academic Senate Council (ASC), in collaboration with the district-wide professional development committee, is offering faculty an opportunity to share their expertise, learn from one another, and earn .5 upper division units for salary advancement by completing a 20-hour, 4-week course during the 2017-2018 academic year. In-lieu of the .5 units for salary advancement, one can also receive 20 hours of flex credit.

During the Academic Senate Council May 2017 meeting, the Faculty Senate Presidents selected the following courses:

  • STEM-ovation Professional Development Course | Ellen Beaulieu, Tish Young, Despina Prapavessi, & mystery guests!
  • All about Video – best practices for developing video-based content and offering online office hours | Neal Skapura
  • Online Math Homework Systems | Kristin Lassonde
  • Using the Online Education Initiative (OEI) Rubric for Online Course Review | Laurie Huffman
