How do I upload my PowerPoint presentations to my website using FrontPage?
Open your PowerPoint presentation and save it as a web page.
IN this case, the file is being saved to the desktop. Notice that there are
NO SPACES in the file name.
You should see two items appear on the Desktop (or wherever you have saved the PowerPoint presentation.
This is the FOLDER associated with your PowerPoint webpage
This is the HTML file associated with your PowerPoint webpage.
Both of these items must be IMPORTED to your site.
To Import your files to the server
Go to FrontPage and log on to the server.
Click on File/Import
You will see this dialog box
Click on the ADD FILE button
Find your PowerPoint/HTML file
Click on Open and you will see the file name appear in the IMPORT dialog box.
Next, Click on the ADD FOLDER button.
Find your folder.
Click on OPEN
Your IMPORT dialog box should now look
something like this
All you have to do now is click on OK and the files will be uploaded to your directory.
Create a page of links to your PowerPoint presentations
Open up a new page for links to your presentations, or put the links where ever you want. This example is using a new blank page dedicated to PowerPoint presentations.
Type a name for your Presentation. Highlight
the name and click on the Hyperlink button.
Find your PowerPoint Html file on the
server
Click on the HTML file and then click OK.
The text on your page will now be linked to the PowerPoint files.
Check out your page on the web to make sure that it works.
