Instructional Technology
Working with DVC staff and faculty to
develop websites and web-based material, hybrid/online courses, and sound
pedagogy, Neal Skapura also collaborates with the Staff Development Office
to offer trainings and workshops year-round.
Typical workshops for programs include:
WebCT, FrontPage, Photoshop Elements 4.0, Profcast, Skype, iMovie, Garageband, Web Wizard, PowerPoint and Keynote, Snapz Pro X, and
CCC Confer.
Typical workshops for resources include:
Best Practices for Online/Hybrid Course Design, WebCT 1, WebCT 2, Overviews in Streaming
Audio/Video Development, Podcasting and Profcasting, Working with Digital Images, Technology in the
Face-to-face Classroom, Webpage Options, and general technology hardware
and software questions.
In addition, Apple has great walk-in support
(Genius Bar)
for software and projects like how to make a podcast, video, slideshow, or
website; if interested in workshop schedules and walk-in times, access
your local Apple store at:
