Library Workshops

Faculty members are encouraged to bring their classes to the library for a workshop focusing either on the online catalog, electronic databases and/or internet searching. Held during regular class time in the Library's Lab (L-202), these workshops are typically tailored to fit your course curriculum or to a specific assignment.  To schedule a workshop please submit a request for each class by filling out the online Request for Library Workshop form.

  • We require a minimum of two week's notice to schedule your class session.
  • You will be contacted by the assigned Library Instructor to verify date and time and to discuss specific instruction needs, your assignment and presentation details.
  • We request at least 50 minutes for a session and to meet in L202 (Library Lab).
  • Please assess your students’ research abilities so we can tailor the presentation to their skill level.
  • Please inform students of your exact assignment in advance of the library session. We also offer Library Assignments for students to complete to reinforce the skills learned.
