As information streams into our lives from multiple sources, it is the job of library technicians to help manage this vast collection of recorded knowledge, enabling people to find the information they need. A graduate of the library and information technology (LIT) program is well prepared for employment in a library or information center. Information is the lifeblood of business, education, and government. Our program offers occupational work experience and classes that give students an in-depth understanding of information organization and retrieval, along with the training needed to enter the world of library and information technology.
