LIT
instructors are highly qualified librarians who are teaching courses that
are their specialties and for which they have a great deal of expertise
and experience. Many have been teaching in the
program for a number of years. They also work in various types of libraries
and therefore provide a well-rounded program of instruction for their
students. The best part is that they are teaching these courses--in addition
to working daytime jobs--because they enjoy it!
The following directory includes instructors who regularly teach in the
LIT program.
Carole
A. Chapman
Carole Chapman teaches L104 Cataloging for Paraprofessionals. Over the
years, Carole has worked in the cataloging departments of several academic
libraries, including Stanford and U.C. Santa Barbara. Carole currently
works in the cataloging and reference departments at the De Anza
College Library in Cupertino. Email Carole at

Deborah Hunt
Exploratorium web developer and owner of Information Edge,

Kivel
Andy is the technology librarian at DVC, library department
chairperson and coordinator of the Library and Information Technology

Linda
McKinney
Linda McKinney
currently works as Reference Librarian at City College San Francisco and
DVC. She earned a B.A. & M.L.S at Columbia University, NYC and has done
graduate work atThe Graduate School of City College of New York and
Hartford Seminary. She enjoys learning new things and is eager to interact
with students. LIT courses include L 105, L 150B and LS 121. Email
