This program benefits students preparing to become managers and supervisors, and it is also valuable for persons already holding these positions.
To earn a certificate of achievement, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a "C" grade or better. Required courses are available in the evening and during the day.

Certificate of achievement in Management Studies (DataTel code CA.MGTST.D)
Students are provided with an understanding and appreciation for the role management plays in business operations of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling, and the ethical and social responsibilities of a business.
SLO#1. Students will be able to integrate basic management theories into supervisory and management functions.
SLO#2. Students will be able to investigate current management practices and problems related to human behavior in organizations.
SLO#3. Students will be able to differentiate threshold issues involved in the legal, ethical, and social responsibilities of management.
SLO#4. Students will be able to summarize measures that can be taken by individuals and organizations to correct organizational problems.
