Computer Science program SLOs
1. Certificate of achievement in Computer and Information Science (CA.COMIS.D)
SLO#1. Students completing the program will be able to create computer programming solutions using either C++ or Java.

SLO#2. Students completing the program will be able to read and write programs written in x86 assembly language, and interface them with C++ programs.

SLO#3. Students completing the program will be able to effectively use either the C++ Standard Template Library or the Java util package to manage data structures in programs.

SLO#4. Students completing the program will be able to make the right choices of language, platform, data structures, and databases for a computer programming solution based on their knowledge of the elements of program design.


2. Associate in science degree in Computer Science (AS.COMSC.D)
SLO#1. Students completing the program will be able to create computer programming solutions using either C++ or Java.

SLO#1. Students completing the program will be able to communicate effectively in a typical office environment through written and verbal media.

SLO#2. Students completing the program will be able to apply the basic vocabulary of computer technology and information systems.

SLO#3. Students completing the program will be able to use word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software to communicate effectively and professionally.

SLO#4. Students completing the program will be able to demonstrate basic mathematical skills in problem solving.

SLO#5. Students completing the program will be able to write instructions for using applications.

SLO#6. Students completing the program will be able to provide training on the use of software and computer systems.
