EOPS Services

The following services are available to eligible students free of cost:

Counseling

  • Professional counseling (academic, career, personal)
  • Educational planning
  • Peer advising
  • Assessments

Direct financial assistance

  • EOPS study-time grants for parent students
  • EOPS grants for current or former foster youth students
  • Work-study assignments
  • Book vouchers

 

Note: Book vouchers and grants are awarded based on available funding.


Instructional support services

  • One-to-one tutoring (up to 6 hours per week/per subject) 
  • "Student success" courses

Outreach, recruitment, and orientation

  • Priority registration
  • College information and referrals
  • New and continuing student orientation
  • Community outreach presentations
  • High School Recruitment Day
  • Summer Institute

Four-year college transfer assistance

  • CSU/UC admission application fee waivers
  • Assistance with applications and financial aid forms
  • CSU/UC campus tours
  • CSU EOP nominations and recommendations
  • Scholarship for transfer students
