New student workshops

Student Outreach and Welcome Services collaborate to provide assistance for prospective students who are interested in attending DVC.

If you are planning to attend DVC in Summer or Fall 2013, we are currently offering workshops to assist you with the enrollment process. Whether you are currently in high school, recently graduated, have been out of school for awhile, or are transferring from another college, we can help.

The workshop schedule changes each month, so click here to view a list of upcoming dates and to schedule an appointment. When choosing which type of workshop to attend, determine your student status:

  • A new student is a high school graduate, or has a GED, or did not graduate high school (but is over 18) who has never attended college.
  • A returning student is someone who has previously taken classes at Diablo Valley College (DVC), Contra Costa College (CCC) or Los Medanos College (LMC).
  • A transfer student is someone who has completed units/credits at another college and is transferring to DVC.
  • A high school concurrent student is someone who is still attending high school but would like to take a DVC college course simultaneously.
