Photo of student life office Located in the Margaret Lesher Student Union Building, the Student Life Office houses the Dean of Student Life, Student Life Manager, and the Student Activities Coordinator, along with other support staff. The friendly staff provide services and support to students and student government, along with information about on and off campus resources. The Student Organization Handbook is also produced by this department.

The ASDVC President's office, ASDVC and work rooms and the club meeting room are also housed in the Margaret Lesher Student Union Building. The work rooms are only for ASDVC Board and Club members for student organization-related business.

    Diablo Valley College I.D. cards are free. They serve as your library card and you may add money to them for printing in campus computer labs. Please bring proof of your current registration as a DVC student and an I.D.
  • ASDVC discount stickers sales
    STICKERS ARE ALWAYS ON SALE! Save 5% on your books at the Campus Book Center and much more! $8.00 per semester. If you lose your sticker, a replacement sticker may be purchased (with proof of previous purchase) for $5.00.
  • Transportation Assistance
    County Connection bus schedules are available in the upper lobby also to to their web site cccta.org for bus schedules, fares and other information. Bus passes are sold at the DVC Book Center.
  • Commute program - Ridesharing information and registration is available at 511contracosta.org.  Carpool Ride match Registration is also available at erideshare.com .

  • Bicycle Locker Rental
    Fall & Spring: $25.00 deposit + $15.00 = $40.00
    Summer: $25.00 deposit + $10.00 = $ 35.00
    DEPOSIT IS REFUNDABLE
  • Posting Flyers
    There are thirteen bulletin boards around campus. Posting is done weekly by Student Life staff.  First priority is given to DVC events, activities and information, on a space-available basis. Lowest priority is given to off campus commercial advertisements.
  • Housing/Apartment Information
    DVC does not have on-campus housing. Those who are LOOKING FOR A ROOM or RENTING A ROOM can fill out a housing information card at the Student Life Office. 
    Please note: students contact the lessor directly. Any rental agreements entered into are between the students and the lessor as individuals and are not the responsibility of Diablo Valley College.
  • Fax Service
    Domestic faxes are sent and received for $1.00 per page (not including cover page).

  • Buy a Brick!
    Students, families and friends can commemorate their time as a DVC student, employee or friend by purchasing a brick for only $50.00. For more information, contact us x2095.
  • Direct Solicitation to Staff or Students!
    Vendors interested in conducting solicitation or sales to staff or students must submit a completed proposal to the Student Life Office. Please read the letter and procedure below, and send the completed Vendor Contract to the Student Life Office.
