Peer support center

The Office of Student Life is committed to supporting re-entry students and other students in transition, encouraging their success by providing a friendly place for them to begin again.

Due to a series of budget cuts, at the end of Spring, 2005, the college was forced to close the Re-entry Center in the Faculty Office building.

However, we have moved many of the resources and materials from the Re-Entry Center to create a new program which we call the Peer Support Center.

The Peer Support Center: is located in the Student Union in room 202 (Quiet Room).

The Center isstaffed by students who have completed one or more semesters at DVC, who can provide referrals to campus and community resources.

We offer an array of services to help students develop tools to ease their transition into college, and build a strong foundation for success. You can gather information on campus & community resources, meet friends, exchange information & experiences, as well as share concerns & interests.

Drop by for a visit sometime!
