The students of Diablo Valley College voted for the construction of a new Student Union Center in April of 1990. The Margaret Lesher Student Union Building serves as a laboratory of citizenship, training future leaders in social responsibility and leadership in democratic aspects of society. The idea became a reality on January 21, 1998 when the building was opened. Now DVC students can utilize the facilities and the services provided at the Student Union.

Computer Lab (Room 201)
There are 13 computers for student use. A student I.D. (the CONNECT CARD) is required for printing (10 cents per page). Cash value may be added to the card in this computer lab.
Peer Support Program & Quiet Room (Room 202)
The Peer Support Center is open to provide support and resources to students. We offer comfortable sofas, tables & chairs for group study. There is also a section of the room which has soundproof partitions for students who desire a quiet environment for study or relaxation.
ASDVC President's Office - ext. 2621 (Room 209)
The Associated Students of Diablo Valley College (ASDVC) President's office is located on the upper level of the Student Union.
ASDVC and Club Work Rooms - ext. 2726 (Room 207)
A copier and computers are available for club use only along with cabinets for club files. These rooms are shared spaces and may not be reserved.
DVC Club Meeting Room (Room 210)
Large meeting room for clubs and student government. Please reserve through the Student Life Office, ext. 2093.
Student Union Conference Room (Room 204)
A larger conference room with seating capacity for 74. Please reserve through the Student Life Office, ext. 2095.

Recreation Room (Room 101)
Big Screen T.V., tables and chairs.
Basement Cafe
Located on the lower level of the Student Union Building, the cafe is open Monday - Thursday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. fall and spring and closed summer. The cafe offers Starbucks coffee, cold beverages, pastries, pizza, sandwiches and salads at affordable prices.
