The University of California has moved to a common guarantee agreement that will be called the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for students entering the University beginning Fall 2010. This will be used by seven of the nine UC campuses (Berkeley and UCLA do not have guarantee arrangements). Students should plan to see a counselor in late August/September if they are interested in a TAG.
Currently, Diablo Valley College has transfer agreements with UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, UC Santa Cruz, CSU East Bay, and University of the Pacific. Transfer agreements allow eligible students to study at Diablo Valley College and have a guarantee of admission as a junior-level transfer.
