Transfer agreements

The University of California has moved to a common guarantee agreement that is called the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG). TAGs are offered by seven of the nine UC campuses; Berkeley and UCLA do not offer the guarantee. For some campuses the TAG application must be reviewed by a DVC counselor prior to submission.  Please read the campus-specific information below carefully.

AB540 (undocumented) students are eligible to apply for a UC TAG.  International students with domestic coursework only may apply for a UC TAG.

If you need help filling out the online TAG form, stop by the Career, Employment and Transfer Center computer lab for assistance.

Important note: Even if you are approved for a TAG, you must still complete and submit the regular application during the regular admission filing period, Nov. 1-30.

UC TAG AGREEMENTS

UC Davis

The UC Davis TAG guarantees students admission to the major of their choice. The online TAG application must be completed and then approved by a DVC counselor before Sept. 30. Call 925-685-1230 ext. 2276 or ext. 2278 or stop in the Counseling Office to schedule an appointment to meet with a counselor before Sept. 30. Students previously attending another college or university must bring an unofficial transcript to the TAG counseling appointment. For complete Davis TAG criteria, visit admissions.ucdavis.edu/tag/criteria.cfm.

UC Irvine

The UCI TAG offers provisional admission to students from California Community Colleges. TAG guarantees students admission to most majors. Some require additional departmental review. Visit www.admissions.uci.edu/pdf/TAG_brochure_fall2011.pdf to review criteria. Students do not need to meet with a DVC counselor for a UC Irvine TAG. The TAG can be submitted online directly to the university.
