Assessment testing is offered for English, Math, Chemistry and ESL. Most testing is done in SRC E-164. It is possible to take two assessment tests (in different subjects) during an assessment test session.

The DVC Assessment at San Ramon offers assessment tests, which are used to determine a student's placement in ESL, English, Math, and Chemistry.

In order to complete the assessment test you MUST have each of the following:

  1. A Diablo Valley College application on file with the Admissions Office and Records Office. (We only test students who are enrolling at DVC in either the present or future semester.)
  2. Your DVC student ID number.
  3. You must show a form of Photo Identification i.e. Drivers License, Passport or Student ID to take the test.
  4. Students must make an appointment to take the assessment tests.
