Free tutoring is available one-on-one, by appointment and drop-in, and in study groups. The Pleasant Hill campus has 10 single subject tutoring centers. The Tutoring Center, located in L-102, offers tutoring in all subjects. Contact our office, 925-685-1230 ext. 2125, to schedule an appointment.

Upcoming transfer deadlines · The Cal Dream Scholarship Fund at UC Berkeley is announcing several scholarships of at least $10,000 to academically qualified students in need of assistance that meet the requirements of California Assembly Bill AB-540. Please stop by the Transfer Center to pick up a copy of the eligibility criteria and an application.
· Admission decisions for fall 2009 admitted transfer students to CSU and UC campuses have begun and will continue through May 1, 2009. Be sure to submit the Intent to Register (SIR) by the deadline listed in your acceptance package to inform the university you will be attending their campus.
· Are you transferring to a four-year university in fall 2009 or winter/spring 2010? If so, mark your calendar for DVC's 9th Annual Transfer Reception to celebrate your success on March 14, 2009 from 2:15 - 4:15 pm. The program includes guest speakers, refreshments, music, meet with four-year university representatives, other students transferring to your school, and drawings for several scholarships! Watch for further registration details on the Transfer Center webpage. |

Second annual Inter-Club Council (ICC) Fundraising Carnival When: Wednesday, April 1, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Where: Student Union Plaza and Student Union Conference Room What: Free food representing a variety of different cultures, live performances, music, fashion, games, a shopping bazaar, and information about DVC's clubs and a variety of student services offered at DVC.

Fall 2009 in London - Wednesday, March 25 at the Pleasant Hill campus and Thursday, April 2 at SRC.

| Educational Talent Search Program |
Volunteer tutors needed for spring 2009 The Educational Talent Search Program at DVC is seeking tutors for its summer math program. Tutors are needed in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. This program will serve middle and high school students from Mt. Diablo and Martinez Unified Schools.
All tutoring is held on the DVC campus Monday through Thursday between 9:30-10:20 a.m. or 10:30-11:20 a.m. The summer sessions will run from June 22 through July 23. Interested students should contact Jackie Castellano at jjonesca@dvc.edu. |
| Viking Lacrosse! |
The Viking Lacrosse club team will host CSU Maritime Academy on April 4th at 6:00 p.m. at Viking Field (football stadium), in a rematch of the February 22nd game, where DVC defeated CSU 16-12. Come enjoy the fastest growing sport on the west coast and support the newest Viking athletic team! Admission is free.

| Deadline for completion of Liberal Arts A.A. degree |
| Students completing A.A. degree requirements with the major of Liberal Arts, a program which was deleted from the DVC catalog in 2004, are advised that they must satisfy all requirements by the close of summer 2009, due to State regulations. Students unable to do so will have to select another major to complete their degree, and may see a counselor for assistance. |
