| Note: This course has an online lab requirement. The labs will be assigned by your instructor and will be a significant portion of your course grade. The labs require computer and internet access, but may be completed at any location with such access, on or off campus. | ||
| This course is an accelerated algebra course that prepares students for transfer-level Statistics (MATH 142). It uses a contextualized approach to cover the techniques and reasoning of algebra, including ratios, rates, and percents, developing, evaluating and using algebraic expressions, linear, rational and radical equations, systems of linear equations, functions, use of linear and exponential functions to model data, use of logarithms, graphical and numerical descriptive statistics for quantitative and categorical data. This course is designed for students who do not want to major in math, science, computer science, or business. | ||
