| This course examines the history of the United States from 1877 to the present. The course explores cultural, economic, social, and political factors, including the operation and continuing evolution of local, state and federal governments under the U.S. and California Constitutions. The experiences of groups from diverse backgrounds are included: Euro Americans, Asian Americans, African Americans, Native Americans and Mexican American/Latinas/os.
