| Introduction to horticulture explores the biology and economics of growing and care for plants. The course covers the breadth of basic horticulture practices and the biological and environmental principles on which they are based. The students are exposed to a variety of field studies that stress the practical applications of horticulture science: propagation, plant identification, pest/ disease identification and control options, environmentally safe use of pesticides, and factors for favorable plant growth.
