| This course is an introduction to the creation of ceramic vessels on the potter's wheel and the development of critical thinking skills through the examination of ceramic art. Through the study of the art of various western and non western cultures, the fundamentals of three-dimensional design and the development of a vocabulary of aesthetic terms and theories students will engage in both critical discussion and creative application utilizing the potter's wheel.
