| This course will focus on the language, structure, characterization, and philosophy of Shakespeares plays. The historical, social, and artistic forces which helped to shape his works during the Elizabethan and Jacobean ages will be discussed. The relationship between Shakespeares work as literature will be examined by close analysis, and as performing arts, experienced in theater, film, opera, or television. CSU, UC | ||
