| Designed for students interested in learning beginning American Sign Language, a language developed in a visual/gestural mode, and used by the general American deaf population. Also designed to increase the student's awareness of the deaf culture. The course serves as an introduction to American Sign Language introducing expressive and receptive sign, the manual alphabet, facial expression, and body gestures.
