Planning, Research & Student Outcomes
We
are dedicated to bringing you, the management, faculty, staff and students of
Diablo Valley College, the institutional information you need. We administer and
analyze surveys; and we provide support for Instruction, Student Services,
Workforce Development, Special Programs, Marketing, Partnership for Excellence,
Matriculation, Accreditation, grant applications, governing bodies and
committees, and publications. At the heart of our work are student enrollment,
retention, success, persistence, and demographics. We maintain national, state,
county and district information affecting the college, and we provide data to
compare ourselves with similar colleges in the state and nation. We support
accountability efforts through measuring student outcomes such as the
performance of our students after they leave DVC.
The results of our work are seen in the spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and summaries found in the Institutional Effectiveness Fact Book and special reports. We make planning recommendations based on our analysis of data over time, and our work is directly tied to the goals of the DVC Strategic Plan - which we monitor in progress reports.
