Downloading Rosters Into Excel From Web Advisor
Locating Your Roster in WebAdvisor
Go to the WebAdvisor address at:
http://207.62.211.227/openweb/index.html.
Be sure that you type the URL correctly. The
address is not case sensitive.
At the WebAdvisor site, click on login.
Type in your
user name on the first line, and your date of birth or password on the second line, and
click submit.
If you are entering your date of birth use the
format MMDDYY.
Click on Access Faculty Menu.
Click on Class Roster.
Next to Select A Term click on the drop down arrow
and choose the semester you want to work with, and click on Submit.
You don't need to enter anything in the date range.
Click in the box next to the class roster you want to work
with and click on Submit.
You can only choose one class at a time.
You will now see your class roster.
When your roster is open,
click drag your cursor across and down the entire roster
(include student name, ID, etc.)

Go up to your menu and click on Copy.

Open Excel and go to your menu and click on Paste.

You can now add, delete or expand columns. Save your Excel file as an Excel Worksheet.
If
you are using Netscape Navigator
Go up to your menu at the top of the page and under File choose
and then Save As.
Choose where you want to save your
file.
If
you get a message that says, “This Web page may not save correctly”, just click
on OK.
Also, in the box that says “Save as Type” your file
says HTML file, just click on Save.
You can choose your Floppy A Drive, your desktop, or any
other place where you save your files

Open Excel.
On your menu, click on File and Open.
When the window opens that says Look In choose the
location where you have saved your roster.
Click on your file and then Open. The file will end
with .WebAdvisor
If you do not see your file, click on Files
of Type
and choose All Files
.
You will probably get an error message…Don’t
Worry, just
click on OK.

Your roster will now open in an Excel spreadsheet.

At this point, you can do several things to format your
roster.
You can choose columns or rows that you don’t want and
either Cut or Delete them.
Or, you can Select and Highlight the
information you want, go up to Insert on the menu, choose Worksheet
and paste the information on the new, blank worksheet.
Save your Excel file as an Excel Worksheet.
