I am requesting a file and the Windows Media Player inside a Internet Explorer browser is unresponsive?

Please go to the Microsoft and download the latest Media Player for your PC/Mac Operating system and install it. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp

After installing media player, open Internet Explorer and click on the Media button located on tool bar. Media Player will appear on the left side of the browser. You must now disable this option: Lt. Click on Media Options located on the bottom left side -> Settings -> unselect: Play Media in the bar and Ask for preferred types -> close media player: Click on x on the top of the media player.

If the problem continues click on the Media button again and Lt. Click on Media Options located on the bottom left side -> Settings -> select Request preferred types. Re-request and windows will prompt you with a Media Bar Settings: Do you want to play the item in Internet Explorer? Select No.

If you are using Internet Explorer to open the file, close the browser and open the apple Safari browser and then request the file. If this does not work then go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp and download the latest Media Player from Microsoft.
