Duplicating Materials at DVC

For your major duplication needs, such as exams or syllabi, please use our Production Lab in Central Services, (x2212), which provides excellent and free duplication of class materials. Duplication orders should be fifteen (15) pages or less in length and require fewer than 500 copies. Printing requisitions should be submitted two working days prior to the date the materials are needed.

The DVC Production Lab also accepts duplication orders via email: dvcprintshop@dvc.edu. If you are including more than one attachment, be sure to clearly identify how you want each document processed. Attach to the email the document(s) that need to be copied. Do not send the document in the body of the email. Orders requested via email will require two working days for completion. Retrieve your copies in the normal fashion by going to the appropriate shelf in the Central Services office.

For longer duplication orders, call the Production Lab at x2212. For production of a course reader (a handout packet of more than fifteen pages), contact the DVC Book Center. Offset printing requests require a five-day notice.

You may photocopy small jobs in your division office during day hours and in the instruction office during evening hours.

Reproducing Exams

Exams that are to be reproduced should be placed in a large white envelope marked "EXAM," then placed inside a larger manila envelope, and labeled DVC Production Lab.

Duplicating Materials at the San Ramon Valley Center

Copy Machine

There is a small copy machine located in the mailroom for limited use.  The Division Secretary will give you a personal access code for the copier. Instructors should not rely on this machine to produce the majority of material for their classes.

SRVC Use of the Print Shop at DVC

Material should be submitted via attachment along with an SRVC order form, which is available in the mailroom. The turn-around time for production requests is two to three days. Once the order is completed it will be returned to you at SRVC. To shorten the production time, please e-mail your orders to the DVC Production Lab. Keep copies of your original material before submitting it. As per the DVC process noted above, you may email your copy requests to dvcprintshop@dvc.edu. Be sure to note your SRVC location to ensure the copied material is returned to you at SRVC.
