| Welcome to Career
Pathways and High School
Articulation

Transition from an Industrial Age
to an Information Age has produced profound changes in the career
preparation requirements of students. In this rapidly changing world
there is no longer a single path to success, but many paths on a
journey of continuous development and life-long learning. Young
people today must be prepared for a lifetime of:
Career guidance and development is a
critical component of any Career Pathways program. Students need
assistance in defining their career interests and they should
understand their aptitudes and abilities. They need ongoing
support to develop and pursue their career goals, and they need to
see a direct relationship between their education and the world of
work. Connecting students to the workplace through job
shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, and projects will encourage
them to plan for their futures.
