The Frank H. Buck Scholarships benefit
exceptional, ambitious young people who possess leadership potential
as well as a commitment to their school, community and family. Must
live in Contra Costa, Napa, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano or Yolo
counties. Financial need and high academic standing are important,
but are not necessarily prerequisites. Applications are available
from September 1 to November 8.

Hispanic women who reside in or are planning to
attend college in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara,
San Francisco, or San Mateo counties are eligible for these
scholarships. Applicants should display leadership abilities,
community involvement, and possess at least a 2.5 GPA. Applications

awards for minority students residing in the San Francisco Bay area
for a minimum of 3 years. Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and
must demonstrate participation in a community or civic
organization. The four awards are granted to an incoming freshman,
