TUTOR TRAINING
Diablo Valley College Tutoring Services offers tutor training to new tutors throughout the academic year
New tutors must meet one of the following requirements to be eligible to tutor at DVC:
English 140 (please see course schedule for more info)
OR
Math 140 (please see course schedule for more info)
OR
Tutoring Center intensive two day Tutor Training Workshop
Tutoring requirements vary by subject, please see the Tutoring Services Coordinator located in L105 for details.
Spring 2009 Workshops
Please register in advance!
Workshop 1
Friday,
January 23, 2009 2–5 pm
and
Saturday, January 24, 2009 12–3 pm
Or
Workshop 2
Thursday,
January 29,
2009 3-6 pm
and
Friday, September 30,
2009 2-5 pm
You must attend BOTH days to receive credit
The training will be held in L 201
Please register in advance!
To register you we need your full name, email, contact phone number, and prospective employer/tutoring lab.

Also, BEFORE THE WORKSHOP, take the DVC Learning Styles Survey and print-out the results and bring to the FIRST session.
