Peer Support Center
Due to a series of budget cuts, at the end of Spring, 2005, the college was forced to close the Re-entry Center in the Faculty Office building. However, we have moved many of the resources and materials from the Re-Entry Center to create a new program which we call the Peer Support Center. The Peer Support Center: is located in the Student Union in room 202 (Quiet Room). The Center is staffed by students enrolled in the CARDV 130 class, who are receiving information and training about careers in social services. The Center will also be staffed by work-study students who have completed the CARDV course in previous semesters. We offer an array of services to help students develop tools to ease their transition into college, and build a strong foundation for success. You can gather information on campus & community resources, meet friends, exchange information & experiences, as well as share concerns & interests. Drop by for a visit and a cup of coffee sometime. Hours: Monday through Thursday from 8am to 7pm, and Friday 8am to 4:30pm. Contact: If you have any questions you can reach us at (925) 685-1230 ext. 2616 or 2086. The College is aware that re-entry students may have different issues and concerns than students enrolling fresh out of high school.
