Student Clubs 

Join a Club!
Student activities and organizations at Diablo Valley College are student initiated and run.  The student club program on the Diablo Valley campus is an integral part of DVC’s educational program.  It gives students opportunities to develop valuable leadership and interpersonal skills that will benefit the student while at DVC as well as in their future.  Students learn to organize and to work with others, pursue special interests, and make friends.

11:00-2:00 PM in the Student Union Plaza
(between the Student Union and Cafeteria).  Come by and meet club representatives and sign up for more information!  If you are re-registering an existing club or want to start a club and would like to recruit new members, please click here to register a club to participate in Club Day.
Club membership is open to all Diablo Valley College students regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin or physical limitations.  All clubs have mail boxes in the Margaret Lesher Student Union Building.  Messages may be left for club officers in the mailboxes. 

Start a New Club or Reactivate a Club in need of Leadership
All NEW clubs have four weeks to register Spring semester Deadline February 12, 2009.
 in order to get a new club started you must attend a MANDATORY workshops.  You will learn about the requirements and deadlines for getting a DVC club started. You will also get a copy of the Student Organization Handbook and all of the forms that are required for starting a new club.  Your application to start a new club will not be reviewed or approved if you have not attended one of the Starting a New Club workshops.

Information on how to start a club and a list of important dates and deadlines for Spring 2009 are available in the Student Life Office or on the Campus Events Calendar.  So…if you are interested in joining a DVC campus club, please drop by the Student Life Office and pick up a brochure on "How to Start a Club."

Important regarding meeting times! Clubs will not permitted to schedule meetings during the Inter Club Council (ICC) meeting, Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 PM. 

INTER CLUB COUNCIL (ICC)
The first ICC meeting will be Thursday, February 5, 2009, 3:30-5:00 PM in the Student Union Conference Room! 
All continuing clubs MUST attend and new clubs are encouraged to attend.  The ICC will hold a
mandatory retreat for club Presidents and ICC representatives representatives Friday, TBA in the Student Union Conference Room.
