  • Spring semester the Library Technology Program is offering a new elective class: "Digital Assets: Tools and Methodologies". Jackie Jay, Digital Archivist and Librarian for the Internet Archive, the San Francisco Opera, and the Bay Area Video Coalition, will teach this course. Jackie lists her credentials this way:  "Personal organizer for the dead (or people who are living really interesting lives). Promoter for events already given. Time traveler. Story teller." Students enrolled in this course will learn to create, assess, preserve, and manage digital assets, such as documents, photographs, and audiovisual media, and can look forward to informative field trips and hands-on experience using state-of-the-art scanning equipment. This late start course begins March 13, meeting Wednesday evenings from 6-8:50pm.
