History Degree Pathways

Studying history is an important aspect of the human experience. By completing this program, you will gain an understanding of the diverse perspectives in history and analyze the cause and effect of historical events. You will learn to apply critical thinking to understand and explain why these events occurred and how they affected various people groups.

We know that navigating degree requirements can be tricky. Once you have enrolled at DVC, you can schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss which option is best for you.

Although some students are able to get an entry-level position after completing the program, this degree is designed for students transfer to a four-year university to gain a bachelor's degree in a similar program.
