As China expands its $150 Billion a year international infrastructure investment plan, also known as the “Belt and Road Initiative,” Mandarin will be spoken in Europe, Asia, Africa, and across 68 countries around the world. We at DVC are growing our Chinese program to help meet this demand.

Adventure - China is a big country with five thousand years of history and dramatic landscapes, and possessing one of the world’s richest cultures.

Career - As the Belt Road Initiative takes shape and China has become a major world player on the international business and information technology stage. Opportunities will arise for those who want to do business with the Chinese if they can speak the Chinese language and understand their culture. 

Education - DVC offers a Chinese major and a Certificate of Achievement. The Chinese program has turned out students who are able to compete at the same level as notable institutions like UC Berkeley and Defense Language Institute.
